Over the last two years, I have been producing and releasing music under the names Nail Grinder and dc.pratt. Nail Grinder being the more noisy experimental metal and industrial type songs and dc.pratt of a more electronic experimental hip and ambient ambient styles. But I was releasing many of those songs on the compilations and for a while there, the line between the two projects has been quite blurry. So much so even I had a hard time telling which song belonged in what camp.

So this collection and another soon to be released collection will be my attempt to separate the two projects and make the difference a little more clearer. “Quarantined” is a collection of the Nail Grinder songs I have recorded over the last two years. Some songs were released only as singles, others on compilations with other projects of mine and some only as a YouTube video. I'm hoping by having these songs in one place, it'll be a little easier for me to keep track of them.

The second release, “Social Distanced” will be released under the name dc.pratt, and as suggested above, will be the more experimental electronic stuff. I'll be setting up a separate Bandcamp and Distrokid profile for this project. Given that we are all in lockdown at this time, I'll have plenty of time to work on that project. Hoping to have it launched by March 27th, 2020.

I'll continue to upload the videos for all projects on the Nail Grinder YouTube channel.
